Seven National Training courses on ICT With special reference to the latest Development Software Including ATM ALHAMDULILLAH 1st time in the country , Pakistan Disabled Foundation arranged three days training work shop in  capital cities Karachi , Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Gilgit, Mirpur AJK, and Peshawar all together 140 trainees mostly youth were benefited by the training on following topics.
  • Using computer with jaws
  • Jaws commands with html to browse internet effectively
  • Introduction to Microsoft word and excel
  • Introduction to Apple’s Voice over for IPhone and Google’s Talkback for android
  • Introduction to various apps such as Calculator, messaging, contacts, phone, Be My eyes and KNFB Reader for both platforms
  • Introduction to Eye-D for visually impaired for android and Seeing AI for Apple’s IPhone
  • Introduction to online Banking and ATM.
The competent blind themselves were the instructor of the courses mostly, courses were held in higher educational venues like BUITEMS Quetta, UMT Lahore, NED University Karachi, Special Education Centre Hayatabad Peshawar, Special Education Complex Gilgit, and AKAB School for the blind Mirpur AJK. The whole course and every facility including required equipment, Software’s, Food, Tea refreshment, traveling and local transportation was provided free of cost through the funding of IGNITE. ALHAMDULILLAH the venues authorities and local coordinators were fairly cooperative and generous especially towards the inclusion of blind youth in higher education and computer literacy on the basis of there competency and efficiency and keen interest. As per feedback of the trainees and instructors all the courses went successful beneficial towards the modern at modern age education, rehabilitation and socialization.
