Iqbal Day 2020
Observance of Allama Iqbal birth ceremony and welcome dinner to the country wide blind participants in national training workshop under Pakistan Blind Sports Federation. ALHAMDULILLAH to grace the occasion of Dr. Allama Iqbal and to welcome the country wide participants of above said event, a program followed by dinner, was arranged by Pakistan disabled foundation on 11th November 2020 at PDF Quaide-Azam Academy.
The program was presided over by the PDF chairman Mr. Shahid Memon while Mr. waqas Warraich president PBSF and all the blind athletes and their coaches were the chief guest on the occasion, Madam Shakila Yasmin vice chairperson who’s first entry in the social gathering after the victimization by COVID19, initially introduced Allama Iqbal as thinker promoter of high quality values of Islamic approach and practice.
On this occasion she was awarded shield of honor and recognition for her dedicated role and contribution for the disabled community throughout the country during the whole period of covid-19 crisis in last 8 months inspite of self victimization.
The chairman PDF by welcoming the guest paid reviewed to Dr. Iqbal as a most effective thinker of the human and Islamic philosophy of the modern age he also describe the spiritual role of and importance of TIBBW-E-NABVI to defend from disease and calamities like COVID19 he also highlighted the multi-dimensional role of PDF towards the promotion of consolidation of the disable community.
Miss Urooj Habib presented Dr. Iqbal poems KHUDHI KA SAR… Mr. Waqas President Pakistan Blind Sports Federation and all the coaches expressed their views on the occasion and appreciated role and support of Pakistan Disabled Foundation particularly for the promotion of sports activities of the disabled community.
All the blind participants were gifted with white canes while Mr. Waqas was provided blankets and white canes for the blind community of Gujrat including Mr. Waqas, Mr Waqar Younus , Mr. Mohsin from Quetta and Mr. Bilal were provided as a token gift of 1st Ju’z of Holy Quran with translation in braille version. Particiants were also provided the braille booklet comprising of Urdu translation of 80 short Hadees.
it is notable that the shield of best performance for the promotion of literacy amongst the blind community through braille system was given to Blind Resource Foundation Pakistan headed by Mr. Waqar Younus who receive the shield. The program was ended at the thanks and dinner.
