Apart from two decades comprehensive services comprising of training, education, welfare and advocacy together with motivation to protect the socio-economic status and admissive rights, privileges, facilities and securities as documented entitled to them, especially during the last ten months of Covid19 crisis as compare to rest of the situation of the society, the PDF under the guidance and supervision of disabled leadership remained fully active and devoted to the cause for the respected community by taking care of all the COVID SOPs and other wise after effects. Due to which in the early days of COVID prior to Ramadan and during the Ramadan even PDF Management continued to mobilize the resources and efforts to implement the Ramadan package of ration and clothing in 31 cities of the country right from Karachi to Gilgit and Kashmir every record for observation is there, inspite of limitations of financial transaction and transportation due to Corona lock down. ALHAMDULILLAH as per “if there is a will there is a way” we ALHAMDULILLAH succeeded to achieve our targeted goal much increasing and with more receiving the financial resources as compare to previous years. Likewise we continued our program and services in other areas even, as given below.

1.  The regular arrangement of ration worth Rs. 3000/- per packet for 80 deserving families monthly in Karachi other than occasional arrangement of ration for remaining part of the country.
2.  Support for self-employment i.e. small business under community based rehabilitation agenda to 6 disabled persons in different part of the country including Abbottabad and Quetta.
3.  Support for Wedding ceremonies to 15 disabled persons and children of disabled.
4. Tricycle, Wheel Chairs and more than 800 White Canes were provided to the deserving disabled individual and institutions in various part of the country.
5. Under the winter aid program, 450 Blankets, Khais, Jersey and Woolen Caps were also distributed especially in remote and less developed area of the country.
6. ALHAMDULILLAH the IT related like Android Phone and other software’s including Urdu Talking Software (most practical and important) are the daily life need of blind and disabled community, All the concerned items and software’s are quite expensive because of the online education and training importance of the said item (which have daily life importance for the visually impaired specially) further increase. Due to the special blessings of the Al-Mighty ALLAH during this year PDF not only provided above said facilities within its limited resources like Perkin Braillers of USA and Android Phone to some deserving blind youth because of their brilliant progress to cover the urgent need of them. In addition to that to get these items duty free, the PDF effort is continues with the Govt. and top most Authorities of FBR and Ministry of IT is encouragingly in the process. The PDF Authority also continued during the year with the IGNITE and Federal Ministry of Information Technology to exercise the patronize role with the concern Govt. authorities in the matter.
7.  The Braille equipment like Braille Writing Slates and frames, Sizer, Peg Boards together with talking equipment like Thermometers, BP Apparatus, and Wrist Watch’s, Calculators and Self Threading needles were provided on subsidize rates or free of cost as per nature of case and request.
8. Awareness Seminars and Training Courses, Competitions on the Seerat-un-Nabi (P.B.U.H.), Independence Day, Pakistan Day, International Day of the Blind (15th October), International Day of Disabled Persons (3rd December), World Braille Day (4th January) and 8th Annual Disabled Youth Seminar with the support of Ministry of Youth Affairs Sindh were also arranged meaningfully.
9.  First time in the history of Pakistan two different course of repairing and maintenance on Braille Embossers were conducted respectively in September and November under the PDF at PDF Quaide Azam Academy which were participated by almost all the concern stakeholders in the field at Karachi from GO’s and NGO’s.
10.  Our ongoing project the printing of Holy Quran in braille is actively working continuously and providing the same to all the desiring blind within and without the country free of cost for instance the needy Muslim blind from Bangladesh were provided Braille Holy Quran through the Bangladesh Consulate this year again. Furthermore the composing and printing of Braille Holy Quran with Urdu Translation has already been started.
11.  Irrespective of monthly scholarship and assistance to the deserving disabled individuals and families, the full time Skills Training Academy PDF Quaide-Azam Academy for Disabled Children and Women is the permanent agenda of PDF where all the training, education together pick and drop are provided free of cost to disabled children and women.

All the above mentioned services, programs including facilitating event were organized and supervised by the disabled office bearers voluntarily for the consumers of the services.
