ALHAMDULILLAH, It is now very obvious that the disabled community because of its competitive and qualitative role and contribution has been recognized by all leading and patronizing national and international forums as equal an active part of the society and dully deserve opportunities to maintain and promote the standard of life by availing societal benefits, privileges and facilities including government.
It is notable that though disabled community in many ways now getting themselves employed and rehabilitation even then because of additional and assistive requirements together with societal behavior and unawareness as a whole life of the disabled community is very difficult and very expensive and logically deserve additional and extraordinary financial and otherwise facilitation.
Keeping in view the same consent, many of you might be aware that for the last several years, Apart from multi-dimensional countrywide services throughout the year particularly during Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, Pakistan Disabled Foundation has been providing supportive packages of ration and clothing to extremely deserving families of disabled community attached with Pakistan Disabled Foundation (PDF) in different parts of the country. Even during the COVID19 crisis, services were provided in spite of difficulties. ALHAMDULILLAH, PDF management succeeded in providing Ramadan package and clothing well in time to the approximately 1000 families comprising of six thousand family members in 36 cities respectively.
This year we have once again planned to distribute package, starting from the last week of February, 2024. The PDF management arranges distribution prior to the commencement of Ramadan – preferably in the second week of month of Shabaan under the supervision of office bearers and focal persons to maintain transparency to the maximum possible extent. The package is provided immediately prior to Ramadan to facilitate the beneficiaries and avoid difficulties during the month of Ramadan to make this facility possible we are in need to have your practical support well prior to the commencement of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.
Again this year the following mentioned countrywide services emergency relief to the flood-affected disabled was provided up to Rs. 4 million approximately by arranging distribution of Ration, Turpal, Mosquito Nets, Blankets, Wheel Chairs, Tri-Cycles & Clothing. Mainly in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Baluchistan, Sindh, KPK. Prior to the disabled people the topmost authority and focal persons made physical presence at the adversely affected areas like Jafarabad, Sibi, Kohlu, DG Khan, Jacobabad, Ghari Khero, Thul, Jhatpat, Wangr Basti, Sadiqabad, Ghotki, Khairpur and Sukkur.
Under the support to the minorities special package of Ration, clothing including winter clothing, food and otherwise provided to the disabled families from Christian community in Khanewal and Miyan Chunnu Chak-36.

Skills Training academy for disabled children and women where training, equipment, uniform and pick and drop is provided totally free of cost to the disabled children and women.
Arrangements of skills training courses and capacity building workshops on different skills including information technology and mobile applications together with facilitation’s requirements regarding daily life responsibilities and other wise in addition to annual Seminar for disabled youth from urban and ruler area of Sindh.
Support for wedding ceremonies of deserving disabled youths and children of the deserving disabled families.
Support for small business self-employment Cabin, Vending stall like popcorn and French fries machine.
Arrangements of annual occasions like Seerat-un-Nabi, International Day of Disabled Persons, World Braille Day, White Cane Safety Day, Youm-e-Badar, Pakistan Day, Independence Day, Human Rights Day & Volunteer Day to integrate the disabled community in the society as the equal partner in different parts of the country. In addition to the national convention of disabled women arranged at University of Lahore participated by more than 100 disabled working and otherwise women from all over the country grace by other dignitaries including 4 vice chancellor of different universities. It is also notable that to streamline the disabled community with the high profile institutions of the society Pakistan Disabled Foundation has succeeded to motivate and arranged its higher educational and advocacy based awareness program in leading universities of the countries which has brought enormous change in the tendency and behavior of the leading personalities.
Monthly Ration scheme for 80 deserving disabled families costing more than Rs. 600,000/- approximately per month in Karachi.
To uplift and encourage the disabled community to fulfill the daily life requirements white Canes, Tricycles, Wheel chairs, Hearing aids, Braille Writing Slates, computers, laptops, mobile phone having application and provision for visually impaired and other equipment required for training, education, rehabilitation, socialization and collective facilitation including Printing of Holy Quran and other books in Braille in different programs.
Scholarships and monthly aid to the adversely affected and extremely deserving disabled beneficiaries from different parts of the country.
Advocacy and counselling efforts with the Federal and provisional authorities together with private sectors to ensure provision of admissive rights and facilities for disabled person as top priority continued throughout year again.
The arrangement of technology based training courses including course on repairing of Perkins Brailler and DUXBURY software were arranged and Participated by the trainees from right from Gilgit, Kashmir, Quetta and Sindh GO’s and NGO’s.
Silver Jubilee Observance
Finally, it is notable that due to observance of silver jubilee of PDF enormous support to approximately 40 affiliate other than individuals throughout the country was extended by support in cash and kind like Perkin Brailler costing Rs250,000, computer, and laptop, mobile and other equipment furniture and fixture.
