A three-days Mathematics Braille training course was successfully conducted at PDF Quaid E Azam Academy Federal B Area Karachi. The purpose of this course was to enhance the teaching skills of educators working with visually impaired students, particularly in mathematics.
Teachers from various institutions in Karachi like PAB Sindh, Silver Lines School, VISLES Ways, Quaid E Azam Special Education School KARACHI, Government Special Education Center Gulistan e Johar, PDF Quaid e Azam Academy and other individuals, actively participated in the training. The participating teachers were Mr. Asfand, Ms. Asma Abdul Haq , Mr. Mujeeb ur Rehman , Mr. Shakeel, and Ms. Tahura.
The course was conducted by Ms. Shabana Hussain as the lead trainer, with valuable assistance from Ms. Asma Mehboob throughout the sessions. The training focused on effective techniques for teaching mathematics through Braille, aiming to improve accessibility and learning outcomes for visually impaired students.
The opening ceremony was graced by the Chairman of Pakistan Disabled Foundation, Mr. Shahid Memon, along with the Vice Chairperson, Ms. Shakeela Yasmin. Their presence emphasized the importance of inclusive education and the organization’s commitment to supporting special education initiatives.
Overall, the course proved to be highly beneficial for the participating teachers, equipping them with practical skills and knowledge to better serve their students.
After the completion of course, successful trainees were awarded certificates and prizes.
