Al-Hamdolillah to observe the White Cane Safety Day (The International Day of the Blind), a National program was organize in Karachi Press Club comprising of Inauguration, Concluding and Business sessions together with demonstration through Banner covering the status and requirement of blind community including slogan at Press club Karachi.

It was really a matter of thanks and appreciation to the Authorities of Karachi Press Club for kind gesture of hospitality. The Inaugural Ceremony was graced by Mr. Taha Farooqi Secretary Dept. of Empowerment of Persons with Disability (DEPD) Govt. of Sindh as the Chief Guest by highly appreciation and acknowledging the country wide services of Pakistan Disabled Foundation (PDF), distributed assistive devises and relief commodities, amongst the deserving disabled members and sufferers of the heavy rain and flood from different part of the country..
The following items were distributed Like
Whitecanes , Blankets , Mosquitos nets , tricycle, wheelchair , Braille Writing slate and talking watches
on the spot to serve the related community.

Officials of DEPD , representative from State Bank, Mr. Amel Kasi ASC Member Supreme Court Bar Council, Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin Vice Chancellor Usman Institute of Engineering and Technology were also grace the occasion .
It is very much notable that assistive devises were provided by the department of DEPD under the patronization of Chief Minister Sindh and secretary sahib himself.
On this important occasion PDF receive special messages on its nationwide services from Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman Senate .
