Restoration and Education
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]A major focus is on eliminating avoidable blindness, primarily through surgical intervention. We conduct Cataract and Corneal surgical procedures at minimal or no cost, through established eye hospitals or community outreach camps. Cataract surgery, the single most effective intervention for reversible blindness, is prioritized. Furthermore, for those with permanent sight loss, extensive Braille courses are provided.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The courses teach literary braille transcribing, which is vital for education, literacy, and vocational training, offering a path to self-sufficiency and greater inclusion in society.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”13″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Accessibility and Independence

Empowerment extends to daily life through the provision of Visual and Hearing Aids. This includes distributing essential low-vision devices such as high-powered magnifiers, talking watches, and specialized sunglasses to help individuals make the most of their remaining vision. Beyond low-vision aids, mobility assistance is also provided, most notably through the distribution of white canes, paired with essential Orientation and Mobility (O&M) training to ensure safe and independent travel in their communities.
