Al-Hamdolillah in followance of the decision of PDF Board to observe the 2023 as Silver Jubilee year of the Pakistan Disabled Foundation (PDF) the introductory program was arranged on 3rd December 2022 the International Day of Disabled Persons which was followed by different programs even annual regular programs came under titled Observance of Silver Jubilee. The main purpose was to review the role and contribution of PDF multidimensionality. However, every program was highlighted and decorated some sort of appreciation and acknowledgement to the respective fellows and associated institutions by awarding those awards and gifts. For instance, honorable Abdul Razzaq Siddiqui the dynamic personality was awarded Gold Medal for his all type of support including financial and other wise in spite of over age like more than ninety years old establishing role model for others to make the support and contribution possible in difficult circumstances on the basis of “if there is a will there is a way”. Meanwhile in different programs and occasions the Silver Jubilee Shield indicating determination. وَ تَعَاوَنُوْا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَ التَّقْوٰى ۪-وَ لَا تَعَاوَنُوْا عَلَى الْاِثْمِ وَ الْعُدْوَانِ۪- وَ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَؕ- Surat Al Maida Verse #2 And help one another in righteousness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and transgression, and fear Allah.
The international Braille Day observance at PDF Quaid-e-Azam Academy on 4th January, 2023 was also dedicated to observe silver jubilee of PDF. The distribution of Ramazan Package, Istaqbal-e-Ramazan, Yom-e-Shuhda-e-Bader, and likewise were also reviewed and observed in the light of the determination of silver jubilee of PDF.
Under the inclusive based integrated efforts of PDF a “Mina Bazar” with the involvement of disabled community and normal society was arranged on the occasion of International Women’s Day to high light the importance of observance of PDF silver jubilee with special reference of National Convention of Disabled Women organized by PDF at National Skills University Islamabad in 2022, considered as one of the most effective program of vital role towards the exposure of disabled women in different walks of life.
The one Day Conference on Special Education at Karachi University to revised and upgrade the curriculum of special education in lined with the modern education based on information technology with practical approach. The Dean Faculty of special Education Dr. Shagufta Shahzadi, and Departmental Head Dr. Nasir Salman graced the occasion and received Silver Jubilee shield of PDF. In addition to, Dr. Samina Incharge Social Work Department, Dr. Saima Student Advisor Cyclogy Department, Ms. Erum Lecturer School of Law and audiologist Mr. Aqeel ur Rehman.
Moreover, one day seminar on the issues of examination at board and university level was organized ,which was participated by high profile blind and other educators including Prof Safder Najmi, Prof .Hafiz Naseem Uddin, Prof . Shakila Yasmin, Prof. Dr Saira Saleem and others also received Silver Jubilee Shield of PDF on the Occasion.
To grace the occasion Silver Jubilee a special meeting was organized in collaboration with “Boltay Hruoof” to high light and introduce the successful efforts towards the development of Qurani Qaida both in Braille and in print simultaneously ,together with representative of different organizations working in the Braille printing and transcription to gather with Dr. Ferzana Suleman nad director of “Boltay Huroof” Mr. Umer Farooq were also awarded Silver Jubilee shield, as a part of annual observance of Silver Jubilee.
Moreover than the events already described that the Management of PDF while observing of silver jubilee of PDF Had taken care of its recipients, beneficiaries and affiliates equally getting them involved and entertained by some sorts of good will like “Eidi” i.e. apart from token Eidi of twenty five thousand to more than thirty institution, the actively connected with practical cooperation were provided by supportive/assistive items like Perkins Brailler, Photo Copy Machine, Laptop, Dispenser, Electric water cooler ,Braille equipments and office furniture.

It is notable that the climax of observance of silver jubilee so far, was three days national conference from 5th to 7th July 2023 at Islamabad, a part from thought provoking message of chairman Senate Janab Sadiq Sanjrani, the four vice chancellors of Different Universities that is retired Lft. G Asif Mumtaz Sukhera vice chancellor Islamia Mohiuddiin islamic University Islamabad, Dr. Mukhtar vice Chancellor of national skills University Islamabad Mr. Anwer Jilani Hareepur University , Mr. Mansoor Akber Kundi vice Chancellor Bhawuddin Zakriya University Multan graced the occasion by their physical presence and valuable expressions.
The representatives of state bank, representatives of higher education Commission, representative of IGNITE, M.D of National Book Foundation and of course Dr. Tahir Naeem from Comsats Mr. Amir Sami from Technext pvt. Ltd Islamabad, Dr. Munniza Amir together with colleagues Dr. Sajida and Dr. Anila from Shifa Medical College Islamabad, Dr Mehnaz From Federal Institute of Special Education ,Rawalakot, Dr. Basharat from Federal Institute of Special Education, Gilgit grace the occasion, the representatives of 35 organization dealing with the disability and other dignitaries also grace occasion Dr. Shagufta Iqbal from Baluchistan, Prof. Ilyas Ayub from Akaab Mirpur AJK, Mr. Afzal butt President National Press Club Islamabad, Ms. Rabail Pirzada from PFFB Islamabad, Dr. Saira Saleem from Karachi University, Dr. Shaheen Akhtar from Islamabad, Dr. Rashida Khanum from Rawalakot, Dr. Farzana Suleiman from Karachi, Ahmed Karim from Faisalabad, Kamal Yousuf from Peshawar and focal persons of Pakistan Disabled Foundation from all over country including the representative of disabled persons from Christian community of Khanewal belonging to the Amrit Nagar Miyan Chunnu chak 136 appreciated the support in different walks of life extended by Pakistan Disabled Foundation during last 15 years, retired federal director special education Mr. Shabbir Nawaz, Mr. Abdul Manan , dr. Ghulam Haider Zardari and Director Mr. Mubarak also graced the occasion by their physical presence.
Another notable rather than appreciable aspects of the national silver jubilee conference was that all the participants other than Head Office from all over the country even Gilgit, Kashmir and Baluchistan travelled by their own expenses and make the conference a great success and result oriented.
Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Almighty Allah and the support of well-wishers sponsor’s, volunteers, facilitators, coordinators and off-course media facilitators through physical participation and otherwise. The conference went smoothly and concluded gracefully, progressively, successfully rather fruitfully.
