Al-hamdolillah to grace the International Day of the Blind i.e. White Cane Safety Day, a Two Days National Program was organized on 11th and 12th October 2024 which was largely participated by the representatives of disabled community and guest from 24 cities  of the country. The organizations of the disabled persons provided white canes, blankets and mosquito  nets etc. The Inaugural Ceremony was graced by the secretary Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) as the Chief Guest while the ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin  usman  Institute of Technology University. In response to the address of welcome by Chairman Pakistan Disabled Foundation (PDF), the chief guest by admiring the efforts of the Foundation, disabled community individually, collectively and graceful integration and coordination of universities like UTI university and chancellor sahab himself, assured the maximum cooperation  of the government of Sindh by all  means including support to the suggested integrated programs for disabled community in university. He also assured the authority of university to come forward with workable modern technology based project proposal which will be Insha Allah supported by the department as a broad based support. The  Vice Chancellor in his speech by appreciating the efforts of the disabled community and PDF, assured continues and increasing support towards the promotion of integrated based mordren line program for the disabled community.

The representative of the State Bank, National Bank and Feroze Mills also grace the program by their valuable expression especially Mr. Aslam Naveed of State Bank brief in detail the policy, facilitation and patronization of State Bank to facilitate the banking dealing in process smooth and easy for the disabled account holders.

The inaugural ceremony was followed  by business sessions which were presided over by Dr. Bader Samifrom Computer Science Department Karachi University , while Dr. Moez Khan, Madam Saima Masoma Alifrom Pcycology Department Karachi University,  Mtr. Imran Sheikh, Mr. Muhammad Shakeel, Dr. Farhan Abdur Rauf WHO Consultant  presented the valuable expression on following topics.

The 2nd day i.e. 12 october was exclusively designated for the affairs of disabled women and follow supporter. The inaugural session over by focal person of PDF Baluchisan Dr. Shagufta Iqbal while Dr. Aftab Imam  executive Director Corporate State life Pakistan and ex-chief Commissioner Income tax Karachi grace the ceremony as the chief guest. The following imminent speaker from different part of the country inspired the audience by their experienced based expression i.e. full of difficulties and determination which made the situation of glorious success.

Dr. Farzana Suleman by appreciating the efforts of the towards the issues of the disabled community highlighted the burning issue like equal payment fair/payment for the guide /mehrum during the Hajj and Umra. The chief guest Dr. Aftab imam by describing the  insurance policy especially regarding Hajies assure to consider the raised by Dr. Farzana Suleman.
