ALHAMDULILLAH to observe the international day of the disabled persons, Pakistan disabled foundation arranged many fold programs in collaboration with affiliated NGO’s in different parts of the country. The main and leading program was organized at PDF Quaide Azam Academy Karachi to highlight the problems, requirements and achievement of the disabled persons. At this stage as per schedule the 16 winners of seerat program on essay competition were awarded prizes while Pakistan Blind Sports Federation was given a support cheque of Rs. 50,000/- from Pakistan Disabled Foundation which was followed by lunch.
After lunch a demonstration through banners, slogans and interviews with media people was organized just in front of Press Club Karachi which was followed by the press conference addressed by Mr. Shahid Ahmed Memon Chairman PDF, Prof. Shakila Yasmin Vice Chairperson PDF, Dr. Saira Saleem from Karachi university, Prof. Saleem Qasim Oliya PAB Karachi and Allah Dino from Hyderabad Welfare association of the Blind while Mr. Waqas Warraich of president Blind sports federation from Gujrat as a guest addresser.
Pakistan Quiz Society headed by Mr. Hafiz Naseem, A program was organized by 3rd December at PDF qaid-e-Azam academy to award the “Abdul Sattar Edhi Khidmat Insani Award: life time achievement shield as a pride of performance to Mr. Shahid Ahmed Memon which was grace by Mr. Anwer Siddiqui Director Social welfare Department as a Chief Guest, Madam Kishwer Shabana additional Director social welfare District Central, Dr. Badar Sami of Karachi University, Dr. Humera Iqbal from Karachi University, Prof. Najma Ghori, Dr. Saira Saleem Karachi university and Mr. Safdar Najmi.
On the same evening on 3rd December 2020 PDF delegation participated in an online meeting organized by the ministry of Information Technology to grace the 3rd December 2020 as the international day of disabled persons. As mentioned before PDF facilitated the different programs mostly demonstration to highlight the problems, requirement and achievements at press clubs including National Press Club Islamabad.
