ALHAMDULILLAH to review the situation of online banking and utilization of ATM by the visually Impaired after a gap of 5 years to know the merits of the efforts of the PDF, The notification of State bank 2014 and briefing by the than senior directors of state banks Mr. Imran Ali and Mr. Shoukat Bazanjo in a national Conference of technology by the PDF at Mirpur Azad Kashmir. The Problems and requirements of the hearing impaired was also shared by Mr. Akram and Mr. Aqeel of Danish Kadah institute, the blind users of ATM and online banking from AJK Islamabad Punjab, Baluchistan, KPK and Sindh expressed their views in detail which are summarize than given below for the kind attention of bank authorities through the patronization of state bank.
It was God blessings that the PDF authority and consumers of the ATM and banking services from PWD’s arranged online meeting .In this connection the first all Pakistan online meeting was held from PDF Quaid-e-Azam Academy at 4:30 Pm on 8 February 2021.
The participants highlighted that most of the bank branches are still reluctant to open the individual account of blind persons and bank forms are not available in Braille transcription. More over the cheques with thumb impression is not entertain by the bank staff until the account holder does not pursue the bank.
It is encouraging that blind individuals are comfortably using mobile banking and internet banking services for their fund transfer, utility bills and mobile top up.
