ALHAMDULILL:AH to grace the occasion of world Braille Day, The birthday of the great Louis Braille the inventor of braille system of reading and writing for the visually impaired throughout the world, a comprehensive program was organized at PDF Quaide Azam academy on Tuesday 4th January 2022 at 2:00pm
The ceremony was Presided over by member international coordinator IT from federal ministry of information and technology Mr. Ajmal Awan on online while advisor to the Chief minister Sindh Department of empowerment person with disabilities Mr. Sadiq Ali Memon as the Chief Guest.
- The program was comprised of Louis Braille, his invention problems and requirements.
- Introduction and discussion on Islam 360 application to make it more and more accessible.
The active blind users and field experts from different parts of the country including Karachi to part in the discussion, Chairman PDF Mr. Memon and others highlighted the life of Louis Braille with particular reference to the adventures history of the invention of braille system together with utility and importance. Mr. Ghulam Nabi Nizamani the director general of empowerment also expressed his views while Mr. Mohammad Ali AIG communication of Sindh Police Also graced the occasion.
Chief Guest Mr. Sadiq Memon in his Expression highly appreciated the performance of PDF with special reference to the promotion of IT for PWD’s. He also describe the role and interest of the Sindh government towards the promotion of disabled community he also assured maximum possible cooperation from the department to improve and strengthen the services of Pakistan
Disabled Foundation he also had a tour of the PDF Quaide Azam skills training academy and shown keen interest in the smart Perkin Braillers.
